Disney became Joy’s favorite family vacation destination at the age of 7. As a young adult, she visited Disneyland on a cross-country trip, and her love of the Disney experience grew even more. One of her most memorable Disney experiences is having had the privilege of marching down Mainstreet USA with her high school band color guard.

In 2012, Joy married her husband, Michael, who shares her passion for all things Disney. In fact, their honeymoon was also their first blended-family vacation, when they took their children Blake and Addy to Walt Disney World. Their younger son, Eli, joined the Turner family in 2018, along with the chance to share the Disney experience with a whole new generation.

Visiting Disney World with Eli has given Joy the opportunity to learn first-hand how to utilize the WDW Disability Access Service (DAS) pass, which helps to ensure that everyone – including her own medically complex son – is able to enjoy the happiest place on earth to its fullest. Joy loves to educate others about the DAS pass, teaching them how to make the most of the available accommodations and ensure a magical experience for every member of their family.

The Turner family are Disney Vacation Club members, visiting WDW multiple times each year, and camping at Fort Wilderness is an absolute favorite. Joy loves to share her knowledge about how to easily navigate the parks at WDW, as well as how to find the laid-back locations and hidden gems, both within the parks and across the many beautiful resorts.
