What do we book and how do we book it?

Disney Destination - tips, sample workflow, etc.

Important Phone Numbers:

Common issues/questions that might arise:

  • Training

    • All of my agents who book Disney Destinations must complete the College of Disney Knowledge which can be accessed on the DTA site.

    • There are several other training videos on the DTA site that are helpful if you are new to Disney.

    • It is imperative to read every email that Disney sends, as they are constantly changing policies, changing systems, and more.

    • Youtube Videos—if you are not super familiar with Disney, I highly recommend watching reputable videos explaining the various systems and strategies for the parks.

    • TouringPlans—this is a great resource, just be careful about sharing links to it as they now have their own travel agency.

  • Walt Disney World

    • Room Only versus Packages

      • Room only reservations carry different terms and conditions from packages. Be sure to familiarize yourself with them.

      • The following year’s room/ticket packages are usually released in June of the prior year.

      • Payments on room only reservations must be called in.

    • Military Discounts

      • Active duty or retired military service members are entitled to steep hotel discounts and we can book them for our clients. They must be called in and cannot be accessed online. These have to be booked as room only or as a “ticketless package.”

      • Active duty or retired military usually have access to heavily discounted park tickets, but these must be purchased on base or at ticket booths. We cannot purchase these discounted tickets for them.

      • Active duty or retired military also have access to a steeply discounted Memory Maker product that must be purchased at a ticket booth at Disney.

      • Military discounts are usually released for the following year in September each year.

    • WDW More Great Accommodations

      • We can book non-Disney hotel packages through DTA for certain resorts. Please note that if you do, you will need to call Disney IT and have them put a “planning key card” on the client’s My Disney Experience account so that they may book park pass reservations.

  • Disney Cruise Line

    • It is very important to familiarize yourself with their policies and Covid protocols, as they constantly change.

  • Disneyland Resort

    • Disneyland offers similar military discounts booked similarly.

    • Disneyland also offers Good Neighbor packages, which can also be booked through DTA

  • Other Booking Engines:

    • Please book your Disney trips directly with Disney through the portal or over the phone. Do not book with other suppliers, such as Vax unless you absolutely cannot obtain the same resort/deal otherwise. This is important as we inch closer to being Earmarked.
