Magical Horizons Travel
Code of Conduct for
Travel Agents/Independent Contractors
A “Travel Agent Code of Conduct” is hereby instituted to maintain the professionalism of all travel agents/independent contractors (hereinafter “travel agents”) when visiting destinations on behalf of or at the request/invitation of Magical Horizons Travel. If and when you agree to visit a destination on behalf of or at the request/invitation of Magical Horizons Travel (examples: FAMs, AEPs, agency trips, and others), you agree to abide by the following Code of Conduct. Failure to comply will or may result in suspension of invitations to future events and/or immediate termination of the travel agent’s contract with the agency.
No soliciting of travel agents, guests, or employees to join this travel agency or any another travel agency.
Please attend all required tours/training and make your best effort to attend any optional or networking opportunities.
Be respectful of and friendly to all speakers, leaders, and fellow agents.
Do not attempt to connect via social media with guests you meet while on property. Connecting with business partners, business development managers, and agents from other agencies is acceptable and encouraged.
Maintain professionalism at all times and adhere to appointment times as stated.
Dress appropriately. Follow the established dress codes at resort restaurants.
Promotional items which display the agency name, logo, or contact information may not be worn or distributed to guests or staff. This includes, but is not limited to, badges, buttons, shirts, bags, pens, business cards, etc.
The discounted or complimentary rate on which you are traveling, if any, must remain confidential and should not be discussed when speaking with or within earshot of full-revenue guests on resort property. Under no circumstances should you mention you are a travel professional or discuss the cost of your trip with a full-revenue guest.
There will be times when you are permitted to bring a companion who is not an agent; your companion is expected to maintain the same level of professionalism as stated above.
